Wood Suppliers / Handle Materials

I'm very fortunate to live within 1 hr of these two businesses.  Both have an amazing selection of domestic and exotic woods.  If you see something on their sites you'd like made into  a handle send me an email and I'll see what I can do.

Here are some places where I purchase much of my supplies.

Much of my steel is purchased from Alpha Knife Supply.  This is a great resource if you want more information on the steel properties.

I purchase many of my grinding belts from Canadian Knife Maker

Knife Making Information

When I first got interested in knife making I found Blade Forum.  The community here is outstanding and are always willing to help a new maker in any way possible.

Here's a great forum for Canadian knife makers

Here's another great Canadian knifemaker.  His website is the go-to spot for all things knife making.
